The other day I had my niece, Madie and Corbin over to swim. They were having the best time so I got out my camera and started snapping pix. I love these kind of photos! Simple, not planned and they pretty much explain themselves ….. Summer Fun!

Some Summer time fun!
Camryn Lee Underwood
I will never forget this day; July 16th, 2008 I received a phone call from an anastigiologist  (whom I have photographed) asking me if I would be interested in taking some photos for a family that just lost their baby boy at birth. Right away I had this huge lump in my throat and a pain in my heart. I have never done this. “Of course” I said, “I am on my way.”

As I was driving to the hospital I had so many thoughts running through my head; “Can I do this? Yes I can do this! Will I be able to hold back my tears? I can’t even imagine what this family is going through right now… Can I really do this?â€

I got to the hospital and walked into a room full of family and friends. It was the toughest thing I had ever done as a photographer. My heart ached for this family. As I finished up taking the photos and wiping my tears, the grandfather came up to me and asked me, “What do I owe you?”.  I couldn’t even speak without getting all choked up.

I told him, “Nothing, I will get these edited and put them on a disc for you, and should have them ready in a few days.â€

Now I donate my time to families that have gone through the heartache of loosing an infant at birth.

The Underwood family, you are in my thoughts and prayers today and every time I get a phone call to photograph a precious  lil’ infant that didn’t make it. I always think about that day of photographing lil’ Camryn Lee Underwood… Happy Birthday lil’ guy.

Enjoying my Summer!
Summer time is usually slow for me so I take advantage of that and spend time with my kids and hubby. We took a few days off last week to enjoy spending time with some friends of ours from Texas. Yep they came to Bullhead and we spent most of our time on the river.
This week I am finishing up a wedding album and trying to get organized for my move. Yes I am moving out of my studio the end of this month. Don’t worry, I’m not giving up what I love. I am converting part of my garage into a nice studio. I’m wanting to do some different things with the newborn photos. I will talk more about that later once I get everything a lil more organized. I am very excited!
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
Here is a composite I put together for a client of mine.
Isn’t she cute?

Happy 4th of July!!!!
Hope everyone has a great and safe 4th of July! The two babies below are Bella and Bradlee… gosh I just love the babies!!!
