WOW what a day yesterday! I went to the WPPI Show in Vegas and one day is just not enough! Next year I am planning to stay the entire time!
Went to the showroom and saw some amazing things, got some cool ideas for photos , marketing and got inspired like no other! Met some great people too!
I bought a few things like MY Jill-E bag below…. yes I treated myself to this amazing bag that holds my camera, lens, flash, laptop oh and my lipgloss
Like my new backdrop in this photo? They had tons of different colors, designs and textures and it’s the “New” thing now. Check back on my blog in the next week because I am going to photograph a few of my daughters Senior pix on this backdrop ….. fun fun fun!!

Good Morning! I won’t be in my studio today because I will be attending the WPPI Show in Las Vegas for the day.
I am hoping to see some new stuff for 2009!! I feel like a little girl on Christmas morning -

I ordered this cute beanie from a lady that makes them. The bow is removable so I decided to use it on the Mother’s tummy during her pregnancy shoot. Today I got to photograph her precious new baby girl wearing the beanie with the bow.
Gosh I love my job!

Started off with my husband giving me a kiss good bye at 4:30 am. Him and our son Casey ( who is 21 and attends UofA in Tucson) flew to Kansas today to watch a basketball game. I had lunch with lil’ Bo (my 9 year old son) at his school, took Jourdyn (my 17 year old daughter) and lil’ Bo to paint pottery after school, went and had dinner and Red Dragon and on my way home I had lil’ Bo check the mail. Today I received a letter from my son, Casey. Hand written letter, made me cry, cry and cry.
Here is what he wrote…….

Dear Mom & Dad,
I am writing to you to thank you on behalf of my great upbringing. If not for you two, the morals I have that help me be the respectable young man I believe myself to be, would not exist. Because of your love and honor, I strive to make you proud.
My world would be completely different without you two and I could not even imagine it. The reason I believe I am a good person and the reason I have received praise of being a good kid all my life was thanks to you. Because of your love and acceptance of everything, the potential you saw in me mentally, scholarly , and as a person in general, I feel was always met.
Just like all parents, you guys always saw the best potential in me, and I would always strive to reach it. At the same time though, the bar would always be raised to show me that I could always better myself in every aspect in life. This in how I always learned to never be satisfied with myself, although others may have been and sometimes even looked to be like me. This same drive is what still drives me today.
I hope to one day be able to give back to you two, the same way you gave to me. Hopefully I can help give you opportunities to make your dreams come true.
In conclusion , I have two last simple words. Thank you.

A perfect ending to a great day! You always hope your kids turn out to be the best they can be. I can say my son has done that, one down, two more to go!

Well tomorrow will be one week since I’ve had my knee surgery. I’m up walking or should I say limping around but everything is going good. Doing a lot of work from home (my bed ) and don’t know what I would of down without the help up my husband, family and friends? Thank you everyone for you help.
I will be back in my studio next week!
